       The Committee on Local Government (Nocco) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         CRC Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 61 - 68
    4  and insert:
    5         Recognizing the importance of the sheriffs and local law
    6  enforcement agencies in the prevention of terrorist acts and
    7  other crimes in the community, the county sheriff shall have the
    8  responsibility for the security of county owned or operated
    9  courthouses and court facilities. Their authority shall include
   10  decision-making regarding the security of these courthouses and
   11  court facilities, as well as local decisions regarding the
   12  administration and operations of the Office of the Sheriff that
   13  affect security and law enforcement.
