PENSACOLA, Fla. – More than 300 Floridians attended a public hearing held by the Constitution Revision Commission (CRC) on February 27 in Pensacola at the University of West Florida (UWF) as part of its’ “Road to the Ballot” public hearing tour.

At UWF, more than 140 individuals requested to speak before the CRC and more than 300 attended the public hearing.  All Floridians who attended the public hearing and wanted to speak were given an opportunity to be heard by the CRC. ABOUT THE FLORIDA CONSTITUTION REVISION COMMISSION (CRC)

Once every 20 years, Florida's Constitution provides for the creation of a 37-member revision commission for the purpose of reviewing Florida's Constitution and proposing changes for voter consideration. The Constitution Revision Commission (CRC) meets for approximately one year, traveling the State of Florida, identifying issues, performing research and possibly recommending changes to the Constitution.
