PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Approximately 100 Floridians attended a public hearing held by the Constitution Revision Commission (CRC) on May 3 in Panama City at Gulf Coast State College (GCSC) as part of its, “Floridians Speak, We Listen” statewide tour. At GCSC, more than 50 individual Floridians requested to speak before the CRC. All Floridians who attended the public hearing and wanted to speak were given an opportunity to be heard.

Once every twenty years, Florida's Constitution provides for the creation of a thirty-seven member revision commission for the purpose of reviewing Florida's Constitution and proposing changes for voter consideration. The Constitution Revision Commission (CRC) meets for approximately one year, traveling the State of Florida, identifying issues, performing research and possibly recommending changes to the Constitution.
