INFOGRAPHIC: How a CRC Proposal Becomes Law: A Roadmap to Revising Florida’s Constitution
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, the Constitution Revision Commission (CRC) unveiled a new infographic to demonstrate how a proposed constitutional amendment becomes law and officially amends the Florida Constitution through the CRC process.
CRC Chairman Carlos Beruff, said, “Public input helps fuel the CRC process. Our new infographic lays out the roadmap that all proposed constitutional amendments will follow and how some may eventually end up on Florida’s 2018 General Election ballot for voter consideration. We encourage all interested Floridians to submit their proposed constitutional amendments to the CRC by September 22nd, which is the public proposal filing deadline being considered by the Commission.”
The CRC is considering Friday, September 22 as the filing deadline for public proposals to be considered by the CRC. The recommended deadline is subject to approval by a vote of the full commission. The next full commission meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 19. For more information on upcoming CRC meetings, visit flcrc.gov/Meetings.
