    1                         A proposal to amend                       
    2         Section 11 of Article IV of the State Constitution to
    3         require, rather than authorize, the Legislature to
    4         provide for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and
    5         prescribe its duties by general law and to specify
    6         that the head of the department is the Governor and
    7         Cabinet.

    9  Be It Proposed by the Constitution Revision Commission of
   10  Florida:

   12         Section 11 of Article IV of the State Constitution is
   13  amended to read:
   14                             ARTICLE IV                            
   15                              EXECUTIVE                            
   16         SECTION 11. Department of Veterans’ Veterans Affairs.—The
   17  legislature, by general law, shall provide for a may provide for
   18  the establishment of the Department of Veterans’ Veterans
   19  Affairs and prescribe its duties. The head of the department is
   20  the governor and cabinet.
