       Commissioner Gamez moved the following:
       
    1         CRC Amendment 
    2  
    3         In ballot statement, delete lines 272 - 281
    4  and insert:
    5         Requires legislature to retain department of veterans’
    6  affairs. Requires election of sheriffs, property appraisers,
    7  supervisors of elections, tax collectors, and clerks of court in
    8  all counties; removes electors of charter counties right to
    9  abolish, change term, transfer duties, or eliminate election of
   10  these offices. Changes annual legislative session commencement
   11  date in even-numbered years from March to January; removes
   12  legislature’s authorization to fix date. Creates office of
   13  domestic security and counterterrorism within department of law
   14  enforcement.
