Catchline: Regulation of Tolls

(a)(1) For every highway or expressway that collects a toll within the State of Florida, the rate of tolls between each toll-collecting plaza, interchange, gantry, station, or booth shall never exceed $0.35 for each vehicle with two axles or less.

(2) For every bridge or causeway that collects a toll within the State of Florida, the rate of tolls shall never exceed $3.00 for each vehicle with two axles or less.

 

(b) The provisions of subsection (a) shall not apply to the tolled stretch of Interstate 75 known as "Alligator Alley". The toll rate for Alligator Alley, eastbound or westbound, shall not exceed $3.50 for each vehicle with two axles or less.

(c) The rates of tolls for each vehicle with more than two axles shall be provided by law.
